We are proud to announce that we have successfully completed the first load-out operations for the Yamal LNG Project on our brand new ice classed module carrier – BigRoll Barentsz.

Months of careful preparations and detailed engineering were transformed into a successful operation in great cooperation with our site team and vessel crew. The complete operation involved load-out of six modules using Self Propelled Modular Transporters driven from shore to ship across the RoRo ramp, placed on the pre-welded grillage on deck and sea-fastened with large tubular bracings, all while the vessel was ballasting to keep the correct deck level. The modules were fabricated by CPOE yard in Qingdao China, and are destined for Sabetta, Russia where the entire operation will be reversed and the modules offloaded and eventually installed and form part of the major Yamal LNG plant.

BigRoll plays a key role in the module transportation for Yamal LNG Project and have many more load-outs and shipments to come. We look forward to our next load-out and shipment for Yamal LNG on our other new vessel – BigRoll Bering.
